\nA Lifesaving Society Program<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Combined Swim Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor & Emergency First Aid Instructor course at Toronto Swim School is a comprehensive instructor certification program designed for individuals who want to teach swimming, lifesaving, and first aid programs in Canada.<\/p>\n

This program follows the standards of the Lifesaving Society and prepares candidates for employment as certified instructors in aquatic facilities, swim schools, and community programs.<\/p>\n

Swim Instructor Course<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Swim Instructor course prepares candidates to teach and evaluate basic swimming strokes and related skills across all levels of the Swim for Life program.<\/p>\n

Candidates learn:
\n\u2022 Proven teaching and learning methods
\n\u2022 Stroke development drills and correction techniques
\n\u2022 Class organization and lesson planning
\n\u2022 Evaluation and progress tracking
\n\u2022 Leadership, communication, and professional conduct
\n\u2022 Administration and instructional responsibilities<\/p>\n

Training includes both classroom and in-water sessions. Successful candidates are certified to teach and award all levels of the Swim for Life program.<\/p>\n

Lifesaving Instructor & Emergency First Aid Instructor Course<\/strong><\/p>\n

This portion of the program prepares candidates to teach and evaluate lifesaving and first aid certifications.<\/p>\n

Candidates are trained to teach:
\n\u2022 Canadian Swim Patrol Program
\n\u2022 Bronze Star
\n\u2022 Basic First Aid
\n\u2022 Emergency First Aid
\n\u2022 CPR-A, CPR-B, and CPR-C<\/p>\n

Instructors may also teach and evaluate selected skills in:
\n\u2022 Bronze Medallion
\n\u2022 Bronze Cross
\n\u2022 Distinction programs<\/p>\n

This course focuses on instructional techniques, evaluation standards, leadership, safety supervision, and professional judgment.<\/p>\n

As Lifesaving Society Swim for Life, Swim Patrol, Bronze Medallion, and First Aid award guides and resources are required for this course, the following materials are included in the course fee and provided on the first day:
