Toronto swim school: PARENT & TOT SWIMMING PROGRAM

(Ages 3 Months to 3 Years)

At Toronto Swim School, our Parent & Tot Swimming Program is designed to gently introduce babies and toddlers to the water in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. These lessons are ideal for children from 3 months to 36 months, with parents actively participating in the water alongside their child.

Our goal is simple:
✔ Build comfort and confidence in the water
✔ Strengthen the parent–child bond
✔ Introduce early water safety and basic swim skills
✔ Make swimming fun, positive, and stress-free

Why Parent & Tot Swimming Matters

Babies and toddlers learn best through repetition, play, word association, and consistency. Under the guidance of our experienced and certified instructors, children explore the water in a gentle, controlled, and encouraging way.

With careful supervision, our “little fish” begin learning natural movements in the water, including floating, kicking, and brief underwater motion—always at their own pace. Parents are guided on how to use hands, positioning, and body support to help their child feel secure and confident.

We also integrate Lifesaving Society Water Smart® tips, helping parents understand how to keep their children safe in pools, beaches, and all aquatic environments.
